Switchover

The switchover from analogue to digital television signals will start in 2008, a "trial run" is taking place in Cumbria and current reports indicate that it is going well. Our region, that is the region served by Emley Moor transmitter, will changeover to fully digital in 2011. As the website Digital UK already carries all the information about this we will not bore you by repeating it.

As the premier aerial installer in Huddersfield we have worked closely with Digital UK and are Approved Digital Advisers and Retailers, we are also members of the Confederation of Aerial Industries. Rest assured that if you have any questions or doubts we will do our utmost to answer them.

One word of caution though, this last six months has seen some of the biggest increases in the price of copper for a long time. As aerial cable is made from copper this will inevitably lead to increases in the price of an installation and has we get nearer the date of switchover the demand for our services will increase, so don't delay.

We are all too aware that some areas around Huddersfield cannot receive Emley Moor and have to rely on relay stations, the position on these relay stations is, at this time, a little unclear. We will be keeping abreast of all developments and will pass any information along as we get it.
